Tara Golden
Filmmaker Tara Golden has found a rich vein of creativity in the luminous red rocks of Sedona. Formerly a business owner who worked with local artists, Golden became inspired by their ability to create their own worlds. In 2004 she returned to school, attending the intensive one-year film program at the Zaki Gordon Institute.

Her thesis film explored the boundaries of filmmaking, using one single 8 minute moving shot, and local improv actors. Her first commercial short, Film Dreamers, was shot on the move in Park City Utah in January of 05 at the Sundance film festival. Operating without credentials, she soon convinced key Sundance personnel to participate and was successful in making a 20-minute documentary that captures the inspiration, passion and creativity of filmmakers, actors and film lovers everywhere. She turned to filmmaking as much as an artistic expression as a way to reach and inspire others in an uncertain world. Her first feature, Peace Walker, is the story of a man who travels from despondency, despair and feeling like he can never make a difference to hope, inspiration and the joy of seeing his effect on others in the world.

Chase Korte

Chase Korte
Chase Korte was born in Minneapolis MN, but spent his formative years in a pseudo suburb, Elk River (its tagline is "Where the city and country flow together"), before moving back to the city to pursue a degree in theatre arts. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.A., he relocated to L.A. in January, where he has been working steadily in commercials, also appearing in an episode of Seconds From Disaster about the Titanic for the Nat'l Geographic Channel. Chase also enjoys tennis, music from the UK and existential comedy. He is excited at the prospect of hiking across the entirety of Great Britain, a place he has never been.

Chase became interested in the Peace Walker project after seeing a posting online. He met with Tara at her home in Sedona, AZ and began what he hopes will be an introspective and life-changing journey. Having always considered making a living as an actor his goal, he never thought he could skip over the goal and move directly to his dream: doing meaningful work as an actor. With Peace Walker, Chase believes he is beginning to live his dream. Tara also introduced Chase to the life and pilgrimage of the woman known simply as "Peace Pilgrim." Chase has begun to study her life and book (which he considers high philosophy) and regards her as somewhat of a mystic and enlightened one. He hopes to channel some of her spirit and grace into the character of Ray and continue her message of world peace.

Rhett Brewer
Composer Rhett Brewer escapes easy classification. Although Brewer is classically trained, his music weaves in and out of cultural boundaries. Brewer lives and works in London, England and began composing music for films after the release of the collaborative album These Wings Without Feathers, which also features Lisa Gerrard. Classical contemplation intermingles with Arabic chants, Byzantine hymns, Understated percussion and a Cinematic sensibility. Unusually Brewer uses the human voice as an instrument, himself a Vocalist as well as a Composer. A gentle intensity infuses his work and Brewer’s brand of atmospheric seduction spans a wide range of human emotions.

Most recently, Brewer’s work has featured in the Touchstone Pictures series “The Path to 9/11” which was screened in September on ABC in the US. Brewer has also scored a number of feature films including the British thriller “Every Picture” and the soon to be released independent American film “The Lot.”

Brewer’s current solo recording venture Hotel de Ville has just been released online, and has introduced his work to an ever wider audience. The previously unreleased track “The View from Afar” has been used for the most recent Peacewalker preview trailer “A Single Step” and marks the beginning of Brewer’s creative relationship with the project. Brewer was drawn to Tara’s vision of a narrative that mixes fact and fiction, through a story that humbly and passionately bypasses war for peace.
